I think it's dHTML, but i'm not sure. Try checking at www.dynamicdrive.com if you're interested.

From technical point of view, it is not an ideal 404 page because:
1- 404 pages should be small in size not to consume bandwidth unnecessarily as they are among the most frequently called pages of a website.
2- They must not involve SQL queries for the same reason to not to increase server load.
3- javascript, dhtml, flash etc. are not suggested in 404 pages as the message they try to deliver (ie page address is wrong) can be missed by certain browsers/search engines.

That's funny. It's Javascript (I looked at the Source ;)). Pretty cool, I have the code to do that, if you want it PM me and I'll have a quick look through my PC to find it :P

Check out the GD-generated security code they have, random every time you need to log in. Sort of.. unnecessary, one would think.

If you want to have something like that, you could check the source, search for textarea, and find the JS file a little above that. Then check the source for the JS file.

Just letting those know who are interested in knowing how to do that!
