How do I change the title of a post?

I can edit a title, but it only changes the subject within the post. Not the actual title that everyone sees. I searched for a hack, but came up with useless stuff... Any suggestions?

Do you mean the "thread title"?

On your thread page go to Admin Options. Go to Edit Thread.

Now you can edit the title.

No problem, i was editing the database through phpmyadmin before which took a lot of time!

i want my regular registered users to be able to edit the thread title? is there a hack that will allow them to do this? (I don't want them only to be able to edit the post title)
