Intergration of Multiple 'Template Hacks'

Ive had troubles getting a few of the 'template hacks' to all work with each other.
(Please see below for what I mean by template hack)


What I would greatly appreciate is if someone could release a hack that incorporates the below hacks all into one set of install instructions.

In addition to this, if anyone can provide the code so the hack below displays a drop down menu of templates in alphabetical order, that would also be greatly appreciated.

Or if the above isnt possuble, at least a set of instructions that allows for Template Compare and Advanced Template Editor to be installed together successfully.

Actually, now that I think about it a bit more, a 'Template Manager' is more what Im after.

Something that allows comparisons between templates like Araxis Merge would be outstanding.

Has anyone out there implemented something similar to what Im asking about here ?

And if it did exist, would you find it useful ?

I've been seriously thinking about rewriting the entire template interface. It would be a hell of a lot of work, but would replace the absolutely horribly designed one already where, among other things, alphabetical order really isn't.
