futureal asked me to see if I could put some 3d models together, so I was messing around in 3D Max 5.1 tonight and came up with these for him, as possible ideas for models.

I'm still farely new to drawing with 3d max, so setting up paint and lighting is a bit rough still. Most of this stuff is self trained so bare with me as I learn ;)

I made 4 model groups, aka GT3000, Updated my Amber Model, and Made some Jungle Type Clothing, and a Cyber type Visor .. I know prob doesn't really go to gether but this is fiction right?

Looks good! I especially like the closeup of the girl (the last one) that looks kinda futuristic-like.

For the car, it looks good, but not really R/C-like. I will try and find a better example of how the ones we race look. Most of them use a Dodge Stratus shell (or something similar). Since the body is a uniformly thick piece of lexan (plastic), they do not have too many distinguishing features on them, other than the decals/graphics.

However, what could be exceptionally cool (and I'm not sure how this would or could work) would be a 3D model of the inside as well as the outside, and then combining the two for a cutaway-type view.

Just thinking on my feet here. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, I was plagued by the routing problems here, this is the first time I've seen vbulletin.org in a while! :)

No Worries, with the site going down for a few days I figoured you wouldn't have a chance to message back ;) I've been out of town as well...

I'll see if I can find or create a Texture/mesh for lexan (plastic), decals prob easy to put on using photoshop. The main thing is to lean how the body of the car comes together, then create the shapes. As for interior, this car is one of my first car models with lots of revisions and teaks.

glad you guys like the models ;) I've posted a few more models on the site. Lots of work, chat with ya guys in a few days :)
