I have seen a hack to check emails but I was wondering if there was one for users who are on forum to sign up for email via vb.
I have unlimited emails on my site and thought maybe a lot others do and this would be an awesome add on and users would love it.

What do you mean, "sign up for e-mail?" Do you mean a web-based e-mail system integrated with vB?
If not mistaken , when a member signs up at the forum , automatically gets a email acct too nick@yoursite.com
Have seen some sites using Hivemail for tat....

I mean for them to sign up so they can send and recieve emails. to nick@mysite.com And also have the option of pop3

I should also add . For it all to be tied into vb.
I always see how vb "community" and I beleive this email hack would be a huge step.

It just so happens that I'm going to be releasing this on June 1st and implementing it at my site on May 20th. It's not designed with other stuff like http://www.hivemail.com/ but mine will have fewer features, stronger vB integration, and cheaper.
Erwin also released a webmail hack IIRC but I think it only allows users to check mail on their own POP3 servers.

I'm not going to disclose a price at this time until I'm done integrating it at WDF (May 20th), but it will be more expensive than my other hacks (naturally) but less expensive than HiveMail.
I'll update my sig when I release its price.

Remember, the HiveMail vB integration is in the works so you're looking at straight competition. [nods] Besides for that, I'll let Kevin and Chen do the talking. Lol. Good luck filburt! :)

May suit your needs, only if you have neomail though.

Nope, don't waste your time. NeoMail is very buggy and insecure. Trust me. ;)

As I've said, I'm not looking to compete with HiveMail. Mine will be cheaper but will lack many of HiveMail's advanced features.

That's not exactly what he wants.
I was looking for something like this myself just now.
What I need is when someone registers with the site, it will also set them up with an email address nick@mysite.com and the welcome email sent to them will contain the info on how to access it through web, pop3, or imap.
The host that the site will be using has all three and unlimited email address.
Any ideas as of yet?

Unless you own a dedicated server, accessing mail via POP3 or IMAP will be next to impossible.
