I've been trying to import a WMV file (made in Windows Movie Maker) into Flash MX for hours. I've tweaked with it a lot, but I can't get the stupid thing to import the sound, just the pictures! It doesn't even produce an error, it simply does not import the sound. Can anyone give me a nudge in the right direction?

Thanks!

WMV Sound cannot be imported into Flash MX. Convert it avi, or .mov

Same thing happend to me, whilst trying to import a wmv sound file.

Thanks for the reply. How do I convert? (What program do you use?)

Also, I tried converting to AVI using VideoPak - information found here:
http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/115913.php

For the Video Compressor, I set "Microsoft Video 1," and for the Audio Compressor, I set "PCM."

I then imported the AVI in Flash, and still no sound was imported.

Update: It seems PCM is the only audio format that will work. All the other ones cause the program to say "cannot open output file."
