We have an interesting problem. I am pretty sure we have some disgruntled users that are using our Email system to contact members of our site and persuade them to join a new site they created.

My idea is for a notification system to be put into place that would PM or email the Administrator of the site and let him know that the internal email system has been used. That way, we can track who is using it...and who is abusing it.

I plan on putting up a notification as well, saying that it is within our right to monitor the activity of any outgoing mail, if we choose to.

Anyone have any ideas?

You can use my User to User Log hack, although it won't actually go so far as to tell an admin when a user has e-mailed another user.

Very nice hack, Filburt. I will check it out and see if this does the trick.

I may have to tweak it a bit, but I'm not interested in becoming a diabolical Administrator...I don't think I WANT to read some of the stuff people say behind closed doors :D

:shudder:

This will send the admin a pm everytime a user mails anthor via the mailform in the profiles.

Whats sent in the pm:

- Memeber that used mailform's username.
- The username the member was trying to email.
- what time the mail was sent
- The message that was sent (I dont know if this was such a good idea but I left it in.)

The admin with userid one gets the pm.

This....would be awesome :D

However, I am getting a T-String error on the line with the DB Query

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/speedstr/public_html/forums/member.php on line 1528

Any Ideas? Thanks for the help you guys!
