Thanks Jacko.
Final Fantasy Republic has been in existance since June 2001, so we were among the first wave after the successful Final Fantasy IX release hit retail stores. I've been striving for a community that is enjoyed by everyone, anywhere, and by any legal method available. The heavily dense features available are there for member enjoyment and satisfaction. FFR was among the firsts to ideal a Battle System and successfully run one on any forum software.
Due to the growing age of Final Fantasy fansite communites, only a few sites in the fansite community can now say that they outlive FFR's birthdate.
For reference, I am 16 years old, not 15. Age shouldn't matter much as I am still in High School, working part time, existing an active life, and maintaining a community that many older owners cannot accomplish.
Thanks again for your compliment. Final Fantasy Discover and Final Fantasy Republic are very strongly affiliated sites in the community, as our origins are similar. It's great to know that we've made a difference.

Well, as mentioned these were started a while ago in which it may have not been such a popular board concept. :)

Agreed afterlab, and we shall stay affiliates as long as time permits. Thank you Jacko. Though, I myself am 18. ;)
Thank you. I am pleased to see our work is appreciated. Our two sites were in fact the ones which started the itemshop & battle system trend, along with shinra online which holds the original concept.
Even though FFD started a lot later than FFR, and went through three major crashes / deletes, which wiped out our database completely, and in it's current version is only 3 months old, we are striving to create a happy little community, with friendly moderators and members, and many features to keep our members entertained.
As afterlab said, it's good to know we made a difference.

afterlab very kewl site, age doesn't matter, although the toys are hella better now than when I was 16 ;) I've been playing FF since version 1 ;)
They need to take the first one and re do it with FFX graphics ;) I'm trying to get my drawing skills up enough to do Cut Scenes for film and CG Art.
I really like how you guys have your site setup the layout colors and fonts all are balanced nicely.

FF8 is my favorite FF, if you don't count Chrono Trigger or Kingdom Hearts as a FF (and they're not ;))

Heh, I have one of the many wondrous anime forums out there. It sort of fell in my lap; when Planet Namek died off, all these people were whining and crying that they had nowhere to go, so I said heck, why doesn't someone just create a new forum? I bought another vB license and copied my original layout from my real site, and ta-daa, it's been up for about a year and a half now.
I totally neglect it, though. :)

Though when I think about it, it was my anime/gaming site that inspired me to get the arcade hack going. Without that, I may never have looked at it. I still haven't installed it on my other site (R/C Tech) since I'm not sure if the users would care or not. It's a pretty tech-heavy, topical site.

Final Fantasy is a great game, my first FF was FF7, like many others.
I started a FF site called Ultimate Final Fantasy back in september of 2002 and it went down the toilet.
Now I've started Final Fantasy Crystal Cosmo with my friend Craig, but he got booted cuz of his "lack of good adminship" and I run it now.
I also help run a site called Final Fantasy Evolution, which has gone through it's fair share of deletes and whatnot.
But neither of these sites will match the greatness that is FFR and FFD.

Dark colors usually resemble the FF games, IMO.
I didn't sign up for the beta testing, because I hate the way they're doing FFXI.
The fact that it's online just bugs the heck out of me.

My only question is why do most FF forums use such dark earthtone colors ;_; That's just a personal gripe though.
Anyone else sign up for FFXI Online beta test? I did but haven't heard a word yet..
I have, and I was picked to beta test.. here is the email...
Greetings and Congratulations!
