Category gradients

Question: How do i add a gradient to the categorys on my forumhome?

Answer: Goto the replacements section of you admin cp and change the { categorybackcolor} replacement from your hex color to:


#000000" background="{ imagesfolder}/catbg.gif"


Make sure you change the hex to the color you want it to be before loading the gradient and ignore the gap between the { and the imagesfolder. Also don't forget to upload your gradient called 'catbg.gi'f to your imagesfolder.

ok,

i did EXACTLY what you said there and uploaded the image.. it worked fine.. but when i upgraded to vb.2.3.0... this gradient code stopped working?

any suggestions?

I forgot to close that frequently asked questions thread :)

So i split this into a new thread for you. There is no reason that an upgrade would stop this from working. Just check the replacement again and check that in your forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost template that the {categorybackcolor} replacement is actually there :)
