At the moment my thread gallery (in beta forum) uses the attachment.php to display the images in the gallery, however as it still uses permissions guests can not view the images :( .
It was my intension to make a new file "attachment1.php" from the original and deleting the permissions coding so that guests can view pics as well.
Does this break the licence agreement?
Thanks in advance

I would assume not. Wayne Luke put together a Search2.php that added new functionality to the existing search file. He is a stickler for license agreements.
However, I am not sure you could distribute the file. You might just have to tell people how to create it. If I recally correctly, that is what Wayne did.

Correct. You'd be allowed to use it for your personal use but not distribute a file that will contain mostly vbulletin code :)
To be honest you'd be best to pass it over to the people at .com for analysis :)

I don't think it would break the license agreement - it's just hacking the file really - as long as you don't distribute it to anyone else. Same goes for hacks - if a hack contains a LOT of native vB code unchanged, then it really shouldn't be released. It's a bit of a gray area, but I think you're okay if you're using it personally.
