that said, on my forum, i have the "Quick-reply box" installed, and most users prefer it, since its easy, especially those w/ slow connections. However, all text in it defaults to black, which can get boring. So, I made a little template change, and now users can specify the color they want their posts to be.

There's one field to add, (or two, if you want custom font, too) and one template to change.

It doesn't eliminate the reply page, this was designed mostly for users of the Quick-reply box, since quick reply posts in forum default font and font color.

Oh I know, I just prefer it that people use the reply page for more options etc. Keeps the use of both quick reply and new reply page balanced. :)

Yes, the reply page is/would still be used for advanced multi-color/font/size posts, but this mod was designed to give easy personality to the usually drab-looking quick reply box replies.
