No subject when people reply to posts

Where the subect usually says Reply To Post "name of thread"

Mine doesn't have a subject. Is there a template or a dfile which i can tamper with to get it back?

the newreply.php or the templates belonging to it can be corrupted.

also if you've changed the makenavbar function of functions.php it can be a problem.
