hi, I just bought my copy of vb.. registered here but when I go to http://www.vbulletin.com/members/vbulletin.org.php there is no place to enter a forum name. I added the e-mail address I used to register here but still don't receive access to d/l hacks. What do I need to do?
The specific and clear instructions should be in an email Jelsoft will email you after you purchase your license. In that email, you will receive detailed instructions on how to access member's only information as well as your password and customer number.
My bad. :) You should enter your email address, not your username. It's been a while since I've seen the email that they send out. ;) But you *MUST* use the same email address at vb.org (here) and vb.com (there) and then enter THAT email address in the box. :)
We allow you to enter up to 3 email addresses per license here, which are designated to receive priority support on our community forums. These should be people entrusted to work on your vBulletin license. If you request support and you have not registered that email address here, then we may ask you to identify yourself. Additionally, adding your email address here will allow you to access certain customer-only features on the forum.
If that doesn't work and you still cant' get in, I'd suggest sending an email to support@vbulletin.com (be sure to include your email address, customer number, and url)

yes I received those... that was not my question... Of course I needed that e-mail to be able to access the member area in the first place... my question was...
After registering.. You get a page that reads..... "After you activate your account, and if you are a vBulletin customer, please add your username to this form to be able to access certain resticted areas on this site! [http://www.vbulletin.com/members/vbulletin.org.php]"
BUT.. when you log into the page, their is no place to put a username.. only to update up to three allowed e-mail addresses for your lisc... The instructions may be clear, but it does not matter if the field is not there that the instructions are telling you to fill out. ;)

You're showing up as licensed now, too.

very cool! where does it show that at? Also 2 questions for you filburt...
1) where can I get something like you got in your sig that shows my forum stats
2) if I wanted to talk to someone at vb about making a hosting package only aval to registered vb users, who would be the best point of contact? I noticed your a mod so you might have an idea where to start.

Also in my profile "Make your homepage visible to other users?" I am selecting yes then hit submit, I check my profile but it is not displayed.. I open my usercp again and it is selected back at no... Do I need a certain amount of posts before I can display my homepage?
