Search function support multi-byte characters (eg Korean)

Has anyone ever altered a search function to support multi-byte characters such as Korean and Japanese?

Looking for some hints, or someone to help out.

With the language packs in vb3 i would have thought you would be able to do this ;)

Any idea when vb3 will be available? This is new stuff to me, so I'm just learning about it.
