I've seen that I can't access to Invision Board Importer if I am not a licensed user of vBulletin, it is logical, but it's logical too that I don't want to buy a license without knowing if the conversion works fine or no.

I want change my forum engine to vBulletin, but if I can't import my database from InvisionBoard to vBulletin I can't change the forums (They have a lot of user and traffic).

i heard of no problems with the importer, so you can assume it works

Even if you had prior access to the IB Importer, what good would it do if you are not a licensed user of vB implying that you don't own vB? You cannot know if the conversion works fine as long as you haven't installed vB.

I personally know someone who got the convertor to work for him so that's a thumbs up :)

So at this time there IS a converter available to go from Invision to vB?

As in, right now I'm running Invision 1.1.2, if I purchased a vB license I'd be able to upgrade to it?

If so, how difficult is it to do this? What does it involve?

Is there anyone I can speak to that has made this move?

Thanks so much for your help...

There is a converter, yes.

it shouldn't be very difficult to run it, but if you need more info sales@vbulletin.com or the vbulletin.com board would be able to help you i'm sure

The invision converter from Pogo has not officially been released yet. There were some beta testers and that's all. I was one and I ran it with no problems, but Pogo has stated there is a bug with really old PMs so he's held off releasing it until it is perfect.

I don't care much about losing PMs...

This thread is rather old, and there is an ipb 1.3 convert for vB3 already if you purchase your license you will have access

hi,
i have the same question as the other:
Is there any program to convert all the members and forums from IPB 2.0 PF2 to vBulletin, if it's so, then i will purchase the vBulletin license.

Yes, there is an offical importer made by the vBulletin developers for both IPB 2 and IPB 1.2-3

You can email sales@vbulletin.com to ask about PF2, i am not sure about what changes if any have been made.
