It looks alright. The ads really destroy the layout though, in my opinion.

In order to pay the bills advertising is necessary. Outside of this, is there anything graphically that could be added? We're in the midst of making another slight change. Want to see what you all think.
Will post when the change is up.

The header is nice, the banners may drive members away.
The colors are nice, but not much has been done to the table layout besides adding tables (Like Welcome Panel)

What I meant by my previous post, was that you could do something about the ads - I didn't say that you should remove them. I understand that you need to generate revenue to be able to pay for hosting costs, we all go through that.
But the particular advertisements that you have on your forums don't really look too good with your layout.
Also, the link for the default avatar for unregistered visitors is still broken.

We're looking into that with the banners. We really want to wait till VB3.0 is in public release. As for the default avatar for unregistered visitors being broken. Thank you Blak for point it out. :)

It looks nice and appealing. Very professional. I don't see any ads, but I am using the deadly combo of Norton Internet Security and Mozilla Pop-up blocking. :) Surfing the web sith out ads is so nice!!

We have to pay the bills somehow and advertising is just one avenue we have to go with. I'm thinking of moving over to a Sponsored By format in the near future once we get more members, which is always a challenge with any board.

Popups, I'd never go back.

What's everyone's big issue around pop-ups? Get a pop-up killer if you don't like them so much.

They're instrusive, annoying, and distract from what should matter the most: your actual site. The majority of people don't have popup blockers, nor will they go download one and then register at your site. Instead they'll see the popups, think the webmaster only cares about funds, and keep on a'clickin'.
