Yeah so I guess this is more of a recruitment scheme than a rate my board.

OK, maybe I went slightley overboard in edits but I like it now and that is what matters really.
The board is designed mainly around the idea of an online RPG, using my "ingenious" logic I worked out exactly how to do this, it inculdes the following:

Online Battle System (Not auto, requires minor calculations and posting)
Gil system
Stats System (EXP is gained while battleing, you level up and gain stats according to your level and your class)
27 Classes to choose from (FFT based)
Easy to learn battle formula
Wide variety of abilties (Each class has it's own abilties)
Monster Arena (Challenge various monsters to gain items)
Huge Itemshop (Automatic with custom items for each class)
Monsters (Build up your own monster)
Breeding (Breed your monster to get better ones)
Racing (Race your monsters and win better stats and items)
Betting (Bet on a race and win prizes, much like FF7)
Armys (Create your own army with friends and battle against othe armys)

Yeah so that is the RPG side of things! The only incomplete things are the get your own monster and race it stuff becuase we are finishing the breeding tree off, which will probably mean it'll be released next week. We have a few minor bugs and stuff but I plan to sort them out by the weekend.

So anyway your thoughts I guess.

It has its itemshop, but looks nothing like its battle system. O_o And it is slow, but not really if you have broadband ect. Well it looks reletively quick on my 56 k, but whatever. Can you say anything about the site other than the slowness??

-Slow loading.
-The design and colors are nice.
-Background doesn't match much.

Quote from the postbit.

You seriously need to keep down the queries. Thats why your forum is so slow loading.

I highly doubt it. Inside of showthread for every post he made a few new queries, probably to catch what items they have on them and that's why it's so many queries. The page itself doesn't have 357 queries because if you increase or decrease the amount of posts you want to see on a page you will see that each postbit generated a few queries. It's not too hard to fix though. He would just have to make the queries better or put them inside with another query.

Hmm, well I have decided to upgrade the board to the new VB, but also take off aload of unnecessary hacks and cut down on alot of queries, what is the best way to go around this?

The board's design is pretty good, in my opinion.

I also got Page generated in 2.12688398 seconds (53.03% PHP - 46.97% MySQL) with 265 queries. on showthread.php; I know that you are aware of this, just letting you know that it's really killing your server.

By the way, just noticed this in the footer of your vBHomeLite:

Page generated in 1,050,157,548.59870398 seconds (100.00% PHP - 0.00% MySQL) with 15 queries.

You should apply the hack for microstats to make it work properly on vBHomeLite. You can find the fix at www.teckwizards.com ; search the forums for "microstats". By the way, that's the support forums for vBHomeLite if you don't know already.

240 queries on postbit... that is the new world record!

I have only 21, and already my site goes up to 50 queries/ second.

If I had 240... my dual Xeon CPU dedicated server would just die... ;)
