Form Problems...

I have just made a beta hack for my site but there is a major problem with it.

the problems are that when i submit a joke it won' submit if i have any of these symbols in it

" or ' or ; or , or . or ` and when i have spaces the text is cumming out all bunched togeather can anyone tell me what the problem might be.

you might have to escape those characters via a \

ex \' or \" or \.
