Search VBB and HTML pages

Unfortunetly have also a lot of flat html pages... I'd like to produce a combined search tool.....

Any suggestions of hacks? or people who have already done this?

Why don't you use Logician's WEB Templates (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?s=&threadid=36419) hack and have vb's search function do it for you? The other way would require alot of coding...of course you will adapt your current html pages to php using his hack...

Because I want to index several architectural sites into one major search but i dont want to have to rebuild the sites! there is over 4500 pages of html built up over 6 years.....

Also... the pages are static... they arent changed once theyre uploaded as theyre information on finished buildings..... so why create the extra load on the server?

theyre also spread over several domains all on the one server....
