Final choices on upgrading my forums

Hey guys. I have been running a vb 2.2.6 for awhile now. I was told or Read somewhere that upgrading to, 2.2.7 would delete my hacks and was never able to confirm. Its getting to be that time when i want to work my way to vb 2.3.0. If i upgrade to .7 .8 .9 How much of my hacks do i lose? What steps should i take to back-up current configs? What should i back-up or Copy?

I currently run a very hacked VB with RPG mods and other html and php hacks.

Any info would help.

You would lose all of them.
you would have to add all of them back. or try and transfer the changed code over to the bew version.

Use a file compare program like Araxis Merge to upgrade - that way you can see what code to transfer over, and you won't lose your hacks.
