I run a forum based on a text RPG called MajorMUD.

Pepole like to post caps of their boss killings.

Example:
[HP=499/MA=347]:par
The adult red dragon rips Slash with her talons for 78 damage!
The adult red dragon swipes at Slash with her talons!
The adult red dragon rips Slash with her talons for 29 damage!
The red dragon hatchling snaps at you with its fangs!
Aries's miss adult red dragon hits, but glances off its armour.
Aries misses adult red dragon!
Aries's miss adult red dragon hits, but glances off its armour.
Aries critically hurls their chakram and strikes adult red dragon for 127 damage !
Aries critically hurls their chakram and strikes adult red dragon for 136 damage!

/EXAMPLE

Thats kinda crapy to read..

i'd like to be able to do like around that, so it makes it all nice and pretty colors like the game is..

ie
The adult red dragon rips Slash with her talons for 78 damage!
Aries misses adult red dragon!
Aries critically hurls their chakram and strikes adult red dragon for 127 damage!

In Admin CP, go to vBCode, click on Modify, and see how the current vBCode works. Copy the format, and then click on Add and make your own! :)

it gets complicated - depending on whats at the start of the line, depends on what color it is...

misses and stats are grey, hits are red, gossiping is purple, a spell might be something blue..

thats possible to do? I was thinking it would take javaScript or some hacking around were the [php] vbcode is. But i can't seem to really locate where those functions are, and if i did, i wouldnt know where to start. ;)
