the window for where the smilies are viewed no longer appears on the new post or replies. does anyone know how to repair this problem?

Revert your 'newthread' and 'newreply' templates if they have been changed...

I reverted the 'newthread' back to the original and the problem still persist. as for the 'newreply' template. it was never touched.
