I currently workin on my site.... I have played with phpportal and like it but I was wondering if there was anything better.

My needs are simple.

shoutbox
list of newest posts.

Pretty much same as phpportal but with a shout box. Any maybye better ?

try vbhome (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?s=&threadid=36756), vbportal is probably bloated if thats all you need, with a little modification you can customize it.

Well I just put it up on my soon to be site (in the middle of changing urls.

Where do I find an easy to use intergrated shoutbox.

And how in the world do I add the quote of the day..

I did and one of the people on the team side shout box is childish and to come here for the quote of day hack.
