It looks like after the site change to a single style, that if I want to get to the forums, I have to figure out on my own how to do that - there's no link anywhere that says 'forums', unless it's hiding somewhere... :bandit:

Can you add a graphical link, like the old layouts had?

Thanks!

Jeff

The old styles are still here? I'm not sure what your talking about :)?

he means the vb.org homepage, but there is a really huge link to the forums, it's the vb.org logo and as on every vB it leads to the forumhome...

There is a really huge link - unfortunately, I visit lots of sites, and so I never remember what is where. And the huge link has no indication that it gets you to the forums. You kinda have to figure that out on your own.

It'd be great if the place to click was a bit obvious, using words with a graphic, like 'forums' or 'take me to the forums'.

Make it easier on us more technically challenged folks.

Why make things

well, if it's a standard in every vbulletin board (and normally in every bulletin board) i won't call it a function just for vb freaks...

but who knows, maybe one of the admins have a heart with you and creates an extra button ;)

Hey, 'vB freaks' is your term, not mine.

I just don't like to have to guess at things. And for my BB, there are sections where the logo doesn't take you to the vB mainpage.

Hey, if they decide to not add something, I'm sure I'll figure it out. For ease of use and intuitiveness, I'd think a plain link would be in order.

And as I type this I see my Green style is back! Along with my forum link. Ahhh. All is good in vB.org-land.

never knew that the green style has such a link in it *gg*
i haven't use it i like the standart behaviour of the purple style ;)

but all is well now, good to hear :)

I agree that it can be frustrating to go to a forum portal page, and have to search to find the link to the actual forums. :)

Should stick it in your header or something, thats the best place. :)

Heheh there's a giant forum button in the header - how much more obvious can you get :p ;)? lol

Well, I think we've beaten this horse near death, but maybe an analogy would help:

If there was a big red button on a console inside a missile silo, I would prefer it be labeled. Extreme example, yes.

If I'm shopping for peanut butter, when I look at the jars in the aisle, I can probably figure out what the peanut butter is, but having a label would seem to make sense. Don't want to go home with a jar of fluffer-nutter instead of peanut butter.

Is this an unreasonable question?

Not at all :p I just think that the navbar is clear enough. There are no other links to any other parts of the site in the content so anywhere you want to go needs to be located in the navbar which it is..
