vB under some sort ot hacker attack????

Hello all... I have or am involved in several vBoards, and there has been something going on for about a week now that is REALLY troubling me. On every board that I am a part of, there have been new members registering that drop porn links on our sites. When I investigate them, they come from Asia, South America, and this morning it was the Middle East! WTF is going on? They seem to be running some sort of "automated registration" script, because I have watched as a new user with the same name will register on 4 boards all at the EXACT same moment in time. I had thought that perhaps this may have something to do with a hack I may have installed from here, but one of the boards is totally unhacked, so that blows that theory!

Is this happening to anyone else? Is there some sort of master list of vBs that these people are using to find places to drop these smutty links???

take a look at vb.com's chitchat forum there you'll find a large thread about :)

and aslong as vb uses html forms to register members this will never be fixed.. unless they make a special number you have to put in at time of register. ;)
