NerdNations.com - Many things needed.

Hello, i'm posting for my website NerdNations.Com (http://www.nerdnations.com) and my forum (http://www.nerdnations.com/bbs). It's a tech website that offers news, reviews, and other articles. Also a forum that covers almost every tech subject.

It's been up for almost 9 months, i have put a lot of money and time into this and it's really not going anywhere. I would like to get it going somehow, maybe get some more content so the search engines can get it's articles.

What i need is some help from anyone that sees this. I either need some tech members or some stuff listed below.

Wow on a 56k modem i couldn't even get the homepage to load - i left it for a minute and nothing...

Homepage:

- I really like this. Love the drop shadow on the far right and your logo is awesome. Only thing that bothers me is the overbearing amount of text you have on the page due to the news. Perhaps consider showing less articles on the homepage. Because it leaves a big gap on the right where the navigation is (below there)

Forums:

- The pixel font saying "release your inner nerd" is barely visible
- Your logo man is blurred too much
- The "Hey You..." stuff is in times new roman which looks out of place
- The "All times are GMT. The time now is 2:10PM." looks a bit out of place fixed into the main table. Perhaps put it in the forums table so it's aligned agsint the edge of the left of the forums
- I'm not too sure about the member stats down the bottom. It just doesn't look right
- Apart from that you've got a nice design. It fits the purpose which is smart. Good job overall pal

Home Page:

I love your layout and design. Colors are alright, not blinding red or bloodshot red, but simple and smooth.

The interface is user friendly and very easy to navigate and find your way around.

Forums:

Simple and basic is the easiest way to go and less confusing.

However I don't think your icons really work for the overall look of the rest of the website. Perhapps something different.

Overall it looks great!
