Nemesis, all you need to do is modify the template in that hack to get the look you want.

Erm...amykhar is correct, all you need to do is the edit the template. Try putting the icon in one column and the description in another. If you're having troubles, attach the template and I'll help you.

Ok i have installed his hack and i get this
Heres the template i had to mod in forumhome_forumbit_level2_post
open the forumhome_forumbit_level2_post and find this:
<normalfont><b>$forum[title]</b></normalfont></a>
add this before it:
$ficonimg
So i get this"
<tr>
<td valign="top"><b><a href="forumdisplay.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&forumid=$forum[forumid]">
$ficonimg
<normalfont>$forum[title]</normalfont></a></b></td>
And end up with this attacment

The easiest way to fix it is to put another table inside those td tags. The new table would have 1 row and two columns. Then you would align the contents of each column to either the top or middle - whatever suits you. It's basic HTML.

Edit template forumhome_forumbit_level2_post and find this:
<tr align="center">
<td bgcolor="{secondaltcolor }" valign="top"><img src="{ imagesfolder }/$forum[onoff].gif" border="0" alt=""></td>
add this after:
<td>$ficonimg</td>
hope this helps....

I think what he needs is:
rowspan="2"
then the icon will be befor forum name AND description! ;)

if you leave it blank, then it will not ask for a code. I've made sections on my site without icons.

of course i will not leave a blank becuse in this attached hack i just put
the name of the picture like this , 1.jpg , msu.gif or livewire.gif
i dont need to write all code like in your hack
<img src="images/homeicon/yourforumpic.gif" border="0" />
every time !
take in mind that attached hack contains a template should be added to
forum where this template decide what is the name of folder of pic's
i hope you got it !
look , its easy but my bad english and my tring to clear every thing
could make it hard to understand , lol
