Hi,

I am trying to get a banner management system installed on our site, and rather than the PHP ones that I find, which do not seem to like me... :rolleyes: I am thinking of using Entropy Banner, which came 'bundled' with cPanel. This is what it tells me to do:

Then add the following tag to the .shtml page you want the banners to appear on

<!--#exec cmd="cgi-bin/entropybanner.cgi"-->

BUT this code does not work in PHP. What is the best way to get around this - using iFrames or is there a way of 'making' php parse this somehow?

Pleeeeease give as much detail as possible - you're dealing with an idiot who has never used IFrames or has much PHP experience... at all...

Cheers,
Ollie

Brute force way: create an html page with just that line on it, and then include it where you want the banners. :D

You would need to use your phpinclude template for this. Dunno if it will work or not, but would take 4 seconds to try.

Asking the same Question - how would you modify the code to get an Entropy banner in the header a Forum?

<!--#exec cmd="cgi-bin/entropybanner.cgi"-->

Anybody?

Or should I use one of the downloadable Banner managers?
