Calendar/Birthdays

My calendar events aren't showing up on my forum index page. Is this default? Do I need a hack to show things such as birthdays?

I did a search but couldn't find anything, I think my search button is broken, lol j/k.

Please help this idiot.

Check for $birthdaybits in your 'forumhome' template :)

The reason that it wasn't coming up was because no one celebrated a birthday in the last week.
