Heydo ^_^
I'm running VB 2.2.9, and whenever I try to install a hack that involves editing the functions.php file, i always get a parse error informing me that:
error with ()vbsetcookie or something like that. It's been a while since i tried hacks like that 'cause I always get errors.
Anyway, does anyone know a fix to this problem, so I can get some decent hacks on my board?
What hack you try to install and what editor you use to edit your files?

If you receive error messages pertaining vB not being able to set a cookie, you probably made a mistake in changing functions.php so that something is sent to the browser before vB attempts to set that cookie.

TECK : I do it straight from the FTP or use notepad *Shrugs*
Icheb : Yeah, but I edited exactly, i know it 'cause I checked about 50 times.
EDIT : I tried installing itemshop v5 again, and when it came to editing functions.php, I get this :
Parse error: parse error in /home/tidus/public_html/forums/admin/functions.php on line 812
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: vbsetcookie() in /home/tidus/public_html/forums/admin/sessions.php on line 205
Your vbsetcookie() function is not present in functions.php file.
EDIT: Use TextPad or EditPlus2 for your code editing... Notepad is crap.

This happens to me to... and it's only functions.php
You can see what I'm talking about in this thread (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?s=&threadid=47601&highlight=functions.php).
Where can I find this EditPlus2? I tried a google search, and find a bunch of websites in other languages.

I also tried what was suggested in this thread (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?s=&threadid=46162&highlight=functions.php) and it still produces an error. This is making me crazy.
