How do I have a link to a URL instead of a forum like th elink that brought me from the vb main forum? Is there a hack for it?

You can do this without hacking. :)
When you Add a forum, or Edit a forum, where you normally enter the Forum Title, enter this:
</a><a href="http://www.yahoo.com">Click here to go to Yahoo!</a>
The Forum is now a link to Yahoo! :) No hacking needed!

You will be able to post in there though if a user guesses the ID.

yeah other things also have to be taken care of like Quick Jump or Searching but still VERY clever trick and does not require any hacking... :)
