After the downfall of Project dolphin, they released their source to the public, however their was a few problems with the way it was made.
I am now recoding it, and simplyfiying it and then tranlateing it to php (the site half at least)
Anyways, it is now in development to be a part of your very own forums, and you can have oyur users compete aginst each other.
*stabs the zaj flag into the vbulletin post* i claim the release of this one * ^^'

That would be a great idea... However, I know nothing about C++ :( Anyway, if you guys can release something like vB dolphin, that would be awesome

nods, im know php, and c++ has a similar syntax i have been doing fine so far, just gotta find a way to conver the cgi settings to php. and i need to figure out hwo to make a global variable that can be assigned by a options page, that variable will be the forums url. Any c++ experts that wanna lend a hand are free to contact me to offer a hand in helping.

Wow buddy your making this into a program
I could find this code now and get a little help with a query or too and do it without making it into a program. no C++ is needed unless your counting actualy ANY keystrokes made on the users computer ;)
Why not have it so that it's just vb intigrated?

Mist have you not used Project-dolphin?
it is a program that runs in your task bar and counts total keystrokes the entire time its turned on and then it "pulses" them to the server with the program. On pulse it clears the count on the program and adds an insert to the database with that user's id, key count for that pulse.
it counts allll keystrokes, and it compares and lets you compete vs other people.
Im trying to modify Project dolphin's released source.

Yes i have used it :). And took the software off after an hour hehe. I didn't like it.
But still why not have it count "forum" keystrokes ?
Instead of having a program running in the taskbar which records ALL keystrokes and sends them to the forum?

cause, that'd be too easy :P
But not a bad idea, espesialy since im having trouble with the C++ stuff.
So possibly as a first release have it count total post keystrokes.
that would not be so hard, then in the future make a version that would use the Pulse program to count total keystrokes period.
I happened to love that program, and found it very cool and competitive, thus my desire to make it vB integrated.

I know this is a very old thread but is this the new version or something different?

It shows that it integrates with vB, but I am just scratching the surface and looking into it.
