Problem with my Private Messages

it wont let me send a private message, this error appears:
Parse error: parse error in /home/strength/www/www/vBulletin/private.php on line 488

i checked line 488 and all that appears is

what should I do?

Check to see what hacks you have installed and if not revert private.php and the try to re-apply any changes you may have made :)
