Hello,
I would like to automatically have an e-mail sent after someone has registered for my site. Is there a hack or something for this?
Regards, Rik.

It's built into vB, look in the general options.

I can't find anything about it in vbulletin options: settings. Can you tell me where exactly I can find it?
Thanks, Rik.

Log into your admin cp
Click "vBulletin options"
Click on the "[User and registration options]" link and there's a box where you can put an email to 'Notify about new members'

Sorry, I think I didn't explain it well. I want an e-mail sent to the person who just registered, not to myself. Does that make sense?
Regards, Rik.

Currently this option is not available - however a welcome PM hack is available :)

Yes I've heard about that welcom PM hack, but my programmer was unable to install it. He said he kept getting this error:
Warning: Failed opening
'/www/mydomain.com/forums/admin/defpm_dbinstall.php'
for inclusion (include_path='') in Unknown on line 0
Eventually he gave up.
Any idea?
Rik.

Sorry to dredge this up from the depths, but I do have the welcome PM hack installed. I currently don't do e-mail verification, because too many members weren't taking the second step and validating.
But, I have a problem with people signing up with bad accounts. If I could just send them an e-mail saying "Welcome to the site!" when they sign up, I'd be extremely happy, because if it bounced, I'd delete them right away.
Is anyone doing this, at all? Seems like something fairly basic.
