is my forum ruined??

when i go to my home page, it says....

This error means one or more of the following is wrong in your config.php file:

$dbusername
$dbpassword
$dbname

If you are unsure of what the appropriate values are then you will need to ask your web host.

okay thanks. then i guess i should plug those things in, and reupload, i just dont want anything to happen to the data like the posts, registered people etc.

You should back up you database before doing anything. However, it's very unlikely that changing the config.php file would erase it.
