Is there an easy way to hack the control panel for access. Me and this other guy was running a forum. I dont have access to the control panel and now this guy took off and he was the only real admin. I need to get in and make some updates.
If anyone can help please let me know.
Thanks,
Netman

We don't support that kind of unlawful hacking. Also restore the vBulletin copyright to your footer, by removing it you've violating your license agreement.

There are ways to get it back: do you have phpMyAdmin, SSH, or FTP access?
All I'll say is that you can get access any of those ways, but I'd prefer it if somebody else took over at this point.

it would be simple to modify the admin panel to display little paragraphs with the categories of links to edit things horizontally right?

There should be getadmin.php in the extras folder of your vbulletin.zip - upload it to your forums directory run it and there you have it

Mist is correct. You need to upload that file and run it.

Well you should never appoint anyone as admin other than yourself unless you have security measures in place and take regular back ups - and then comes the issue of whether you can trust them or not :)

Why would anyone with a legal copy of vBulletin remove the vBulletin copyright? It doesn't make sense, especially not considering how proud one is to have a vBulletin powered forum. :)

when someone pays 600$ he can remove the copyright, i also don't understand why someone or some buisness would do so, but it's legal..
