I've seen the member can choose a solid color hack for their name other then the default color .. but what I'm looking for or would love to have on my forums is a hack where members can color there name with HTML or BB .. here is an example of what I am looking for

I've searched these forums and have been apart of these forums since I've gotten vB .. so unless I'm not looking in the right places .. please point me in the right direction but if anyone is willing to take up this hack .. thanks greatly!

Hmm, the hack which creates a nichname other than the loginname could help you here, but it's dangerous to let users use html....
btw. Nice nickname here ;)

well I don't nessarially mean for users to have the ability to create another nickname other than the loginname but there loginname they can make it "rainbow" or as my example shows .. I guess HTML is to much power but BB would do .. there any type of hack like that around?
oh wait .. are you saying a hack that creates nicknames other than the loginname will be a start to the hack I'm requesting? .. if so ok .. I'll look for that
and thanks but for the record .. I've had this alias for 8 years now .. didn't know about the band until 1996 and I've used the name since 1995 .. oh and the band is ok .. hehe

hmm, there is a way you can try: create a new profilefield editable by the user, let's say font specifics (50 chars i think is enough.)
then just edit your postbit template
find $post[username] and change it into <font $post[fieldX]>$post[username]</font>
Replace the X with the new fieldid, and when they fill their fiel with for example color="red" it should change the username into red.
