:bunny:
As I finish off vB Links Directory and contact some people to beta-test, this thread will be used to post screenshots and hold maybe site discussions, as the original thread will be edited, and changed to meet 3.0 needs.
I will be posting screenshots shortly.
You can see a list of new features here:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?postid=336503#post336503
Please hold on as I finish up and get screenshots to you, I will also hold a poll because I want to decide if I should go with the original category display/link display or start a new one.
Thanks!

I will be sure too :)
I am currently debuffing the new administration, so I can allow unlimited sub-categories.

Sweet, can't wait for this. I liked v2 a lot although there was bugs. I assume they've been fixed for v3? :)

New Feature Added
Admins now have the ability to lock categories, so users can only view the links in there, but they can't add.
I need your feedback for this, would you guys prefer that for the locked categories, you can specify a usergroup id that can add links, or single user ids?
I plan to put only one so please tell which:)
Thanks

Why not have have it as an option when adding a category - to set up permissions for individual usegroups - it would list them and have a yesno option next to each one based on permissions and then have a box below where you can put a list of userid's that you don't want to be able to use this category :)

I have been coding it on my localhost, too bad my ISP doesn't like me runnign servers, as I get chances to come back on. (becuase my isp is disconnecting me)
I will post some admin screenshots, that are FULLY done.

Also for subforums, unlimited subforums is now a possibility for instanace.
You can have Subforums within a subforum of a subforum within a subforum of the main category

The massview looks the same except it has a new field called Category with the listing of the category.
I have been having small errors with the options (as the new versions basically runs off the options)
I will try to get more ss soon.

<u>Question</u>
Do you wish to have multiple pages for categories?
Auero

Yes, that would be better than having just a huge list of them.
Maybe make it an admin option to select either 10, 20, or 30 links per page?
:) It's looking really good Drk.

Erase that question ;)
No I didn't mean that, the links page has it by default, you get to set how many pages you wish to show.

Ah, I'll just shut up and let other people answer you so I don't look a fool. Ooops too late :p
Can't wait for the release of this though, hack of the month :D (if they're still doing that).
