Buttons gradient

Ok.. i have the psd files from the members section and i open them up in photoshop. I can change the text on the buttons. Woo hoo first step done now im trying to change the purple gradient background. I just cannot get it to change. can someone tell me how? i right click on the image then bg gradient or something but then i get confused. Im using photoshop7 is that helps. Anyone?

oh btw can someone gimmie the link to that online - offline hack to the left on the members profile / avatar place?

Do you want to keep the initial style of the vb buttons and change the color? or make new buttons all together?

If you want to make your own style of buttons, I would suggest checking out Mist's tutorial in the Button and Graphics forums on how to make new buttons, else if you just want to change the color of the original buttons, I can show you how.

Thanks a lot, but vbulletins tutorial in the members section did what i wanted :) i never knew it was there
