dude, I don't know what you guy's call it here, but I know it aint a 'hack'. Anyway, to add your own flash footer / signature, just go to this page (http://www.flashkit.com/board/announcement.php?forumid=11).
It's a site FULL of flash, tutorials, competitions (there's the November flash signature comp on right now!), and more.
If you're too lazy to go to the site, just follow the following instructions:
_____________________________________________

To add your footer you need to add the code as shown below, substituing in your own variables

http://www.yoururl.com/myfooter.swf
_____________________________________________

Remember though, not many ppl are fortunate enough to afford Cable Internet, most are still on 56K, and if you have a 100K flash footer, ppl's net will slow down
anyway, good luck

Well....actually, it is kind of a hack. to use [swf] etc, that vbcode has to be added in the control panel and the appropriate html would have to be known.

are you serious? Where's the control panel? Can anyone access it? or only mod's and admin's?
pls help me. Are there any other hacks? I know the basic bold, underline, italic, quote, dot points, lettered dot points. Are there any others?
if anyone could help me, thanks

I have the [swf] code implemented on my forum. It is not a default feature of vb as chewman2k implied. It required some editing in global.php into the bbcodeparse bit.

You can take a look here (http://www.pcmarket.com.au/forum/showthread.php?threadid=295&pagenumber=5)

I was taught how to do this by werehere.

Thanks to all of you...

This should definately be a feature in 2.0

Does anyone know when Verison 2 is coming out, and how much do you have to pay for it, or can you just upgrade?

If it is a feature, it should be optional just like you can turn off the BB IMG code.

For sites worried about bandwidth and speed, something like this can kill both.

For my site i grouped the [swf] code together with the [img] code. So if [img] code is not allowed neither is [swf]

This was just a quick way of doing it but it suits my needs just fine.

Check out the announcements forum for the latest details. It should be made available for download in the Member's Area just likeany other upgrade, so as long as you still have your member's access you should be able to download the upgrade for free :)
