Im having problems with my items.

Players of a pretty high level and close stats, seem to be doing either no damage or massive amount of damage. I keep ajusting the item buffs but i cant ind a good medium. does anyone have any good item to armor balences?

Also Bytsys. Users fists are doing more damage then some of the weapons. I got my weapons buffed so there kinda stable and not giving to much or to little damage so i rather not change there values unless im absolutly sure they will work fine. SO i want to know how to change the damage fists do. Can you tell me where the formula for the fist damage is kept?

I am not sure as to why money is getting taken away, since there are no queries that do that in any of the files. I wouldn't think that pruning posts would do anything either since no edits were made to that file. Are you sure that another mod/admin isn't taking away points and not telling you? Did the money get deducted from everyone, including you?

I haven't had any money deducted, but then again I haven't been checking. So I don't really know for sure. -- But a lot of people are complaining about it.
Are the only people able to deduct points, Moderators (besides Admin)? Or can regular members steal from each other?

Hi everyone, I'm and admin at jitway1's board, and I'm having a few problems with this hack.

1) User made shops. I've rtfm, searched this thread, and I can't seem to find the info I need to get the user made shops to work.

What I've done thus far:

1) Opened my own shop.
2) Defined the items in said shop via the shop admin, not the admin cp.
3) Set the item classes up in the admin cp.
4) Sold a user a weapon that was set for his class.
5) Faught with that user.

In the fight, the user couldn't use the item as a weapon.

Facts about relevent settings
- The user was the proper class / level to use the item.
- The category shop that the item was bought in was defined as a 2 handed weapon.

I'm kinda afraid that the error is something bilndingly simple here.

And my second problem is that every day the users get a wholw whack of money. In the thousands. I know that they could not have gotten it through posting, becuase it's set to 15 per post and it's pretty unlikely that everyone in the forum posts over 75 times a day. I know that it's not bank interest, becuase users who had a bank balance of 0 were recieving cash as well. As you might imagine, none of the users are complaining about this one, but the admins are having to outragously raise the prices of everything in the default shop.

I'm having problems where. I tried to reinstall it because alot of the stuff went wrong, so I erased (i think) all the tables via phpadmin and did a clean install. Problem is that when I try to edit my char, it says im in battle. Did I miss something? Can anyone please help? Thanks.

silly me :rolleyes: i found what was wrong. it was the user table, under my name, saying i was inbattle :P set that puppy to 0 and im good to go! ^___^ awsome hack.

Well, I finally did it. I read this entire thread from start to finish.

Anyway, I have one more problem, this time involving the way the itemshop.php file displays info. I recentally aorginzed all the items into categorys basesd on the classed we set up, and for every new weapon category, it made a new 'slot' on the page. <a href="http://www.jitway.com/jit_shot1.JPG">Sceen shot</a>.

What that pic is, is the itemshop.php file, right above where the links to the item shops are. At first it wasn;t that big of an issue, and I just assumed that the hack hasent gotten to that part yet, but now it's really freakin' me out!

I'd like to know is:
- Why are the missing images calling for a file called .gif (no file name, just dot-gif)
- Why isn't any info being displayed, for all those slots?
- Is there anyway I can just get rid of all that from being displayed, so no one has to see it / scroll down, or is it something absolutely necessary?

Next, on the same page since I went nuts with the arranging, I have a LOT of sub-shops between the Default shop, and the Custom made user shops (which I still cant figure out, lol).

- Is there anyway that I can get those not to be displayed in the shop page, but have it so the users could still access the shop through the text links for their class?

That has been suggested a couple of times. I can't really do something like that right now that I would feel is satisfactory to the idea.

Moderators can add/subtract points as they please in addition to admins. Users cannot steal (this bug was fixed a while ago).

Member-created shop items cannot be used in battle because admins cannot effectively regulate prices. Allowing member-created items would unbalance the weapons in the regular shop.

The images are called ".gif" because the variable that comes before it is not initialized and therefore is blank. This should be replaced by a "No Item.gif" link in the near future.

The info isn't being displayed because it is not being read from the database properly, or the information in the database does not exist.

Can you verify the integrity of your itemshop_its template and browse the items_user table to ensure that there is actually data in there?

A few pages back (10-20), Darkwaltz4 posted the mods he has made to this hack involving the itemshop. He made the default itemshop page expanded by default by adding "expandall=1" to the end of the links to the itemshop. I think this is what you want to do in order to only display the appropriate categories.

BTW, I like your itemshop, the images are cool :)

It is not possible to have a .gif in windows but if you upload it as image.gif and then when upload rename to .gif it will work.

Wow Bitsys, you really know where your towl is, I can't even imagine how many hours you've put into this hack, but I really do appreciate all the time and love you've devoted to it. Thank you not only for all your hard work, but also for raking the time to awnser our questions.

Anyhoo, I don't think the mods adding to the players funds, as it we have 95 members and there all getting the bonus. It seems unlikely the mods would bother to give non-participants a bonus every day, or so.

Thanks for clearing up the custom shop, and the .gif image issues. I thought that I may have screwed it up some how, lol.

I did make a gif image, and rename it to .gif in the itemshop icon dir. on the server before I posted the problem, no effect.

The info on the database does exist, and it seems to be read properly that I'm sure of, but I'm not sure what you ment by verify the file integrety of itemshop_its. Nobody has edited it from its presets.

Bitsys, the templates are messed up badly, one thing, I get a invalid "battlescene.gif" error at the top when battling.

When this hack is bug free I have made about 50 battle scenes.
They are top of the range and I can pics if requested.
I have also tweaked the templates an aweful lot.
If anyone is interested just post, and if you like what u see bitsys then I will glady give you everything so you can add it to the hack.
I am not good at all the tech stuff but I can at least help with what I have made.

Did you go to Edit Item Types and assign the items a particular class type?

If a category doesn't have any items in it, then it won't show up.

I have been able to reproduce the error artificially, so I think I know how to fix it after the error occurs. However, I still have not located the bug that causes the error.

Formula for fists is is in battleupdate.php toward the top and is commented. Here is my fist dmg

Been using it for 3 weeks now and seems to be more realistic. I get around the low single digits with this(2-6dmg).

Suggestion: Don't use the personal item shop feature. Its a great addition but is easily exploited and users getting tons of gil. We just turned ours off. Unfortunately no matter what u do, ppl will always find a way to exploit things.

I have some users whose mp levels dont increase and go right back to 50 or so even when i edit their character. I even had them delete their acct and sign up again and still same results.

Anybody else have this?

Otherwise I got things running pretty good. We have had a good 6,000 battles plus and is heavily used.

you need to check your item catogory Type Number, and make sure it matches the type ID of generic or what ever you made it.

I figured out how to make it so when you create ur RPG charcter you cant edit them ^^.
I will tweak the idea and double check it then post back (host troubles).
As for the battle scenes and stuff when my host fixes my FTP then I can get them.

Those are the column definitions. I need the value of the id column of all the rows. The query would be something like "SELECT id FROM items_cats". Do you have phpmyadmin?

i have an idea for random attacking monsters that well you could make a random event where a monster would pm you and challenge you to a battle of course the monster would be somewhere in your level range dont know how you might be able to do that but you could use class's for monsters like3 different ones theres the mini boss's medium boss's and large boss's which would have 3 different stats or you could at random battles a monster come in and attack both people and both people would have to help to kill that monster you could put in battle record monsters killed or killed by and for admin you can make an option if you want to gain exp for defeating monsters or for each monster you make you could specifie what time you want it to pop up and battle you and how much exp would gain i think this would be a good feature

and maybe a clans like you could make a clan and go challenge one of the bigger boss's to work together and gain exp i think that would be cool.

Bitsys: I tried using Lesane's store money and even in the admin options i sleected yes and stuff but in the itemshop, the money i have is still with Shinra's money which was a field.

In the itemshop options there is

I have Lesane's Store Hack installed and I want to use Lesane's Store's points system
rather than the RPG Integration Hack's point system.

and right below that is PointField. What would i put for pointfield? I put my shinra's points field and it gives me the shinra points amount. If i don't put in anything it still gives met hat.

Could you provide a screenshot or link to the heal problem? I just tested it on my boards and it worked fine.

That part of the monster system would be relatively easy. However, the hard part comes in doing the monster AI, names, graphics, debugging, and anti-cheating code. Plus, I would have to add a table to handle the information.

Well, looks like the registration bug was fixed.

To fix the RPG name in the profile, go to the admin control panel. Find the heading that says "User Profile Fields", click on "Modify". Click the remove link next to one of the RPG name fields and don't forget to update your battle options.

The bank does not work if you use Lesane's Store points. The total money and money in pocket should work, but that could be a bug as well. I will look in to it. You are referring to the member profile add-on, correct?

BTW, I FINALLY fixed the bug with the personal itemshops that were giving people broken images and no names. I will release a new version with a fix as soon as I look into some other bugs that I discovered but were never reported. Bugs bugs bugs...

Anyway, when this member went to heal after being killed in battle, the page reports that she's full on all stats when the opposite is quite clear. It'll be tedious to keep refilling her stats manually(that is if it occurs next time she fights as well), so have there been any fixes for this yet, or is it still an unresolved issue...?

If it occurs again, make sure you record the EXACT error message. Each message is unique, but vary slightly, and will help me troubleshoot the problem.

I made one called Spells and Magic and added a bunch of stuff in there but there it doesn't show at all in the itemshop. I put there under the spells category and sitll ntohing shows. Did you assign the items an item type in the Edit Item Type menu?

EDIT: I just found a bug in the Edit Item Type menu where if you don't select a type for an item, then the script will stop and not update the rest of the items. Will be fixed in the next version, but I think it is unrelated to your problem. Just FYI.

Bitsys well I have a bunch of mosnter gifs and i can get there names theyd probably be lufa names since i got the gifs from most of the lufa games and i got some more item gifs. And for Ai of monsters they wouldnt really need any except for str def etc. etc. just need some kind of code for random challenging you to a battle. I could send ya plus a ++++ load of battle backgrounds if you want tham. Send me a pm if you want any of them.

Fixed Edit Item Type bug where if no item type was checked, then the script would stop executing and fail to update the rest of the items.
Fixed bug in itemshop where if a user created a personal shop and you created a regular one after him, then the regular one wouldn't show up correctly. This bug took 2 weeks to figure out. (thanks Sonikku)
Fixed bug in Member-profile add-on where the Lesane's Store Points wouldn't show up. (thanks Vivi Ornitier)
Fixed bug in the Edit Item Menu that caused a database error.
Fixed bug in rpgcp.php where the Lesane's Store Points wouldn't show up.
Fixed a template problem using the the default installation with regards to the rpgcp.

New:

New battle scenes were added to the images folder. These scenes were made by Messiah Daz (chrisz). The names of the scenes are:
battlescene_night.gif
cloudtop.gif
cloudymountain.gif
darkforest.gif
floatingship.gif
floatingship_day.gif
grassyplains.gif
mountainplains.gif
mountainplains_night.gif
pirateship.gif

You can upload these images manually to your images folder, or you can re-upload the entire images folder. After uploading, you can add them the normal way in the Add Battle Scenes menu.

Bitsys, this upgrade is hella nice. Fixed a bunch of problems i was having. But now i'm having another problem with the items and the battle hack.

I bought an elixir and when i'm in battle i try using it and nothign happens. It just changes screens but just goes back to the original pick your move screen and my HP hasn't healed at all. There's been about 3 people that have had that problem. I have never experience it, but it is an error from the original Itemshop. All I can suggest is that you read https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?postid=362635#post362635 and try that.

I was thinking about some add-ons, but I'd suggest after the major bugs have been fixed.

1) Background music
a) If there are two or more midis, the user can choose like choosing a battle scene AND an option of not having a bgsound.

b) Kinda like an underpop up that only shows up once during battle so that when the page refreshes, it won't start over again, just loops. Also, if it's an underpop up, the opponent can close it incase he/she doesn't want to listen to the midi. Or some sort of iFrame with midi controls. @_@;

2) How can I fix the page so that the table won't mess up when the user max. and min. the window and/or has diff. resolution?

As to having a problem, I still get a database error when I edit the itemshop, but I think I know why it causes it. Where it says script it says http://www.mysite/forums/forums/[etc...]
Notice the two /forums? I don't know where to fix that. And the store won't restock items. =/

I did that, BUT, when the page refreshes it starts over again, and maybe some users don't want to hear bgmusic. And I wanted users to have a variaty of choices just like the battle scenes. Just by putting the code to have bgmusic annoyed most of the users so I just took it off.

EDIT: I put up the new files of itemadmin.php and itemshop.php and it all works fine now. I guess my buddy Eden (co-admin and hacker) forgot to put those files. >_>; Hey, can anyone help me in intergrating the lesane store hack with itemshop? Please? :(

Umm is it possible that there could be an equipped item/un equipped item option and allowe dto have more than 1 of the same type of weapon. because everytime i buy a new weapon it replaces my old one and i don't get my money back.

Just make a new catagory and name it secondary weapon. That's what I did. And also make a catagory for spells while you're at it. Can come in handy. :)

If the potion doesn't heal either MA or HP, then it won't do anything. Are you sure the potion was set to heal either one or the other?

You can delete the tables, undo the table edits made to the user table and userfield table, undo the template edits, delete the templates from the database, and restore the .php files.

That's the only way to uninstall right now.

Bitsys, i think i have a goo suggestion for an addon.If your board has many members, it's hard to find a person that has a battle stat roughly equal to yours. There could be a page where u can search for potential people to battle with that have the same type of stats range as you so that way u don't end the match in one blow or don't get massacred in one blow.

Well, it sounds like a great idea. Unfortunately, that would take a fairly large amount of time to implement.

I have attempted to implement something such as this before. I decided against it because of the time involved in organizing everything and optimizing it.

Yes, the queries are at the bottom of the vbhacker .txt output. Only the userfield table and user table should have been edited.

Hey all I havent posted in a while but here is some new things I would like to share!!
Addon1: Stop members from editing their characters after they have set them up (turn on and off in admin cp)
I will just fix up the install and then it will be released.
Addon2: Me and Metal Gear (close friend) are now working on AI players!!
It shouldnt be too hard and when we have done some work we I will update you guys :)

Guys everything sounds awesome, I'm working on an alternative system to middle earth I'll post it here for you guys soon.

I have a question though, can you add a system to add PvM, aka Player Vs Monster? Chrisz after reading yoour post, if you guys could add support for monster AI that would be cool.

basicially a system, that you can do the battle system with members, and or say challegene the big bad dragon etc when you think you have the best armor or weapons etc ;) As a graphics designer I can help with making new character and monster art if needed :)

to everyone thats worked on this system so far, just wanted to say very kewl, and wow for all the work thats gone into this so far.

the ideas for whats possible are endless :)

One thing we were thinking of adding is how many times a user is allowed to battle monsters per day. Keeping it a low number will stop members from getting extremely powerful.

Hmm, I idea for groups, which be to setup user groups? aka like moderator or admin, but version of it for say clan groups in the hack? Not sure what this would entail but it's an idea.

I'm having a problem with spells. I set a few up a few days ago. I've had a few members purchase them since then, but they can't seem to use the spells. I tested it out myself, and the problem is that the option to use it isn't given during battles at all. I'm sure the solution is obvious, but could someone please point it out to me?

I've got a quick question.
I have a forum called "Records" to keep all the battles played. But I was notified today that some of the battle records are out of order in the gameplay. For example, in the middle of the thread it would say
"[Attack executed]
[Name] died!"
And the next line in the thread would be another attack, and so on. So, the death/end of that battle was not in the right place. And possibly other attacks too.
How can this be fixed? Because I like having this forum there for reference in strategies about how to defeat high-stat members and whatnot.

Can somebody please just upload what their "postbit" template looks like? This way I can easily add this to my site.

Also, can somebdy PLEASE export your items, items_cats, items_options & items_user tables in your database. The hack here has no items in it and I am confused as to how to add them. It would be much easier to import the tables from a already populated items list.

The settings are:
Power level modifier
This controls how fast user's gain levels based on their experience.
Keep the value between 1 and 5. Integers only. (Low number = more experience needed to gain a level) == That's set to 3.

Amount of experience to give users for each post. == That's set to 5 (and I do have "Gain EXP for posting" enabled btw).

So, I thought that you gain 5 EXP for every post, but now I'm not seeing any EXP being added. I'm level 72 right now, so I was wondering if since the first setting is at "3", does that have anything to do with my not seeing any difference? If I set it to "5", would it go back to giving out 5 EXP per post on the board? The only way I'm seeing any EXP gained is thru battling. I have that set to 10 EXP per turn and 20 EXP per win.

Are you sure this is the case? The battle should take money out of the user's bank account first, then it should take it out of their pocket. The winner's money is then deposited in their bank accounts. Make sure you are checking the bank account and not just the user's pocket. I just tested this and it worked for me.

First of all, I'd like to apoligize if this question has been answered before, but anyway...

I'm having a problem with spells. I set a few up a few days ago. I've had a few members purchase them since then, but they can't seem to use the spells. Can you verify that the 'lastactive' column in the `battle` table of your database has an integer value for all of the battles? If so, can you give me some of the values in the lastactive column?

The instructions explicitly stated how to add the default items. It also has a section that discusses how to edit your postbit template. Please re-read install.txt.

The power level modifier is just used to determine how your level is calculated from your experience. If the power level modifier is set to 1 and you have 100 experience, then you will be around level 2 or 3. However, if the power level modifier is set to 5 and you have 100 experience, then you will have a level above 10. The change is immediately applied after you update the value in the admin cp.

I made some changes to the exp per post code 4 or 5 versions ago, so let me go check on it to see if I missed something.

Interesting problem. It seems when somebody logs into my board and modifies their profile. They select their race, element, alignment, and gender, but it goves them nothing to choose from on the "class" list. However, if an Administrator logs in, he can select anything he wants. The is the same if the user is a "registered", "moderator" or whatever. Only an "Administrator' can select a class.

What am I missing?

I have noticed that I have a broken image when dispaying a thread. It is right next to the "class" the user has selected, but the code says the following:

Obviously, something is not right, it is not calling the name of the image properly.

I'm no longer using this hack, but I think there is a folder with all the little sprites in it.

You upload your sprite to the folder, then when you add it, you put (thefoldername)/femalewarrior

notice no .gif extension in femalewarrior?

What I mean under 'Edit profile' there is Fields for the rpg under the main area and under the custom fields area. I'm doing this on my testboard so I know it works before I install it on my main board. I've tried it on 2 fresh installs also of 2.3.0

I've run into a few problems lately, so I've decided to uninstall it until it's no longer a beta hack. I can do most of this on my own, but I'm sure that I'm going to run into a few problems once I try removing all of the edits in the mysql db. I can remove all of the rpg related tables, but weren't several of the original tables edited? If that's true, then can somebody tell me how to undo those edits? Thanks.

its getting the item name from the userid column and the description from the btime column. ive re downloaded the itemshop.php file and uploaded it again but it didnt fix it and ive also been staring at it for a few hours and cant figure out whats wrong. can anyone please help? thanks ;)

Go to your modifyprofile template and delete the top-most duplicates.

There is a column called "folder". Place the icon information in there. Mine says things like: mclasses/archerm, mclasses/archmagem, etc. No file extension is needed, since it must be a .gif.

You will have to go into phpmyadmin and delete the columns that were added to the user table and userfield table.

If your gola of "training" people is to give them experience, then you can just do this from the admin cp. Click on the Edit Users link and input their username or userid. Not sure if this is what you were trying to do, so if you already knew this then great!

I cant remember sorry :(. at first i had accidently run the itemshop install items script twice so i deleted all the tables associated with the hack and ran all the querys manually. then i ran the install items script again to install the items, and everything was working fine except for this.

Bitsy,

Everything works great, except a small glitch.

After we battle, and then each build up our stats, our PP and MA always sky rockets to like 225/225 and 965/965

I reset and tried again, and same thing. Both the loser and winner's stats sky rocketed... HP was FINE...only the PP and MA are ever affected.
Is there any obvious reason for this? Any easy fix?

I cant remember sorry :(. at first i had accidently run the itemshop install items script twice so i deleted all the tables associated with the hack and ran all the querys manually. then i ran the install items script again to install the items, and everything was working fine except for this.

Only after updating stats. Right after battle things look normal, but when we update stats the MA and PP skyrocket for both players...

My settings are as follows:
+2 exp per turn (we had about 8 turn battle)
+25 exp for winner
+8 HP per level
+3 MA per level
+2 PP pere level

The level modifier is set to 1, the slowest option.
The winner of the battle became level 2 after the win.
The winners skyrocketed PP and MA were much higher than the losers PP and MA, but both were extreme.

Like I said before, HP was fine and progressed normally.

Got a bug. I got my first female poster and the itemshop is not calling the image right. She selected a white mage and it was saying it was located in the fclass image file but that it was a whitemagem instead of a whitemagef. Any ideas besides renaming all the female image files?

Well this has kinda screwed up my modify profile and it won't update stats or keep the element in the profile it pretty muchly keeps all the other stuff besides that. Look in the ss for what I mean by messing up it. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Suggestion: would it be better if the rpg information is put on another page instead of the usercp. because its kind of annoying to change from usercp back to rpgadmin etc. etc.

Ok, I think I figured out what happened. You say that the user went from level 1 to level 2. The formula affecting MA and PP multiplies the Level by the user's time on the boards. Therefore, when the level jumped to twice as much as it was before, it also made the MA/PP jump by more than twice since the user's get more than 1 MA/PP per level.

This theory should only work for low levels. Can you tell me if this happens with people who are at higher levels? There should be a diminishing return based on how high the user's level is.

Based on what I understand so far, you've run the install script more than once, correct? This means that the auto_increment field for your items_cats table has incremented several times, correct? However, the install script assumes that it is still at 1, right after a fresh install. This is why the installation insctructions say you should only run it once. To fix this, you need to go to your items_cats table and record all of the ID numbers for NON-PERSONAL shops. Once this is done, you need to change the ending number of the columns in the items_users table to match the ID #s you recorded earlier. So, for example, the following columns

assuming you recorded a cat ID of 6. Note, you DO NOT CHANGE the columns that have a '0' at the end. Those columns have a speical purpose and should be there no matter what.

I believe the reason for this is that the user's posts per day is decreasing. Since HP is based partly on the user's posts per day, if the user slows down posting then he/she will also go down a level in the HP bracket.

Do you mean that it is annoying to switch between the usercp and rpgcp? That is an interesting thought. I will have to think about it.

the tables already match. and i had run the main install only once, but i had run th install items script multiple times after i had deleted the tables and then manually re inserted everything into the database after, looking at the install txt file that vbhacker generated. anyway i guess i will pm you now :)

I have found I can go to "View Battles" in the cp and enter a password into the battle and then go and type in the battle number and the password I gave it in the Battle arena main page and I can enter the battle. however I don't want to have to do this for every battle played on my boards. Any idea what code I need to adjust here?

I'm still testing but got the battle system install cleanly, so far with no problems, I also made a custom post bit to try and keep them a bit smaller. Then linked up everything to my vbhome page and profile with addons, everything seemed to install great so far.

Thanks to everyone that is working on this my self and few others are going to convert the hack over to AD&D 2nd & 3rD Editions.

I recently installed it on a board where I have members who have been registered over 2 years... even though I have the MA and PP to only raise about two each level, it goes to 950/950 after one level up. I shut it down after that, so I don't know about higher levels. Is there anyway to alter the formula so the stats won't jump so much? Will it self fix itself after a few levels?

It should fix itself over the next few levels, however if it does not, then you can try searching this thread for "update stats code" or the like for instructions on how to change the formula.

i am getting this problem also..

well.. more or less... i fixed the dupilication thing. but when i choose Alignment or class... i get a "error on page" error. anyone have any ideas?

Not sure if anyone has had this, but when I try to donate to another member with out anonamyous setting set, I get the following error.

I had that problem but I'm not sure what my co-admin did that fixed it. ^^; It had something to do with a missing variable. Don't really remember since it happend a good time ago.

I think I may have found a slight mistake in thh souce code in member.php for the stat updater

if ($hpmulti > 7.5)
$hpmulti = 3;
if ($hpmulti > 2.5)
$hpmulti = 1.5;
if ($hpmulti < 1)
$hpmulti = 1;

I think the last two need "else" statements:

if ($hpmulti > 7.5)
$hpmulti = 3;
elseif ($hpmulti > 2.5)
$hpmulti = 1.5;
elseif ($hpmulti < 1)
$hpmulti = 1;

The elseif probably isn't NECISARY on the last one.

ALSO, I seem to be having a problem with the item types in the admin panel. I recently added a new item Category. now, when I go to uncheck some of the boxes I checked in the "item type" page and press submit, it reloads the page as if i made no changes at all. any suggestions?

The problem is with the "two handed weapons" category. There are two specific columns that are being stubborn and that I can't uncheck. Every other column and item category checks and unchecks fine...

Can I make a user carry more than 3 items? I know it's possible but I'm not exactly sure where to start. Maybe if someone could point me in the right direction?

A user can carry 1 item from each Category. Starting off you only have 3 Categories, Weapons, Armor, and Items. Create a new Category and you will see another space open up in inventory.

Hmm I was thinking toward they can carry up to 10 items out of any categlory XD Can I do that? I'm a newbie in php but I'm sure if someone tells me what to look for to change, I'll figure it out

First off.. This is one hell of a hack. Good work. My members love it... hell.. my board is based on this hack now. I run a small RP community and this was a hell of a gift. Now then...

The whole user field/points system is a little wacky. You should make the VBhacker.php make a SET variable for money. Cauase for a while I had it displaying usernames as money >.>

Can you give me the code for your postbit that you had on that screenie?

For some reason my forum is very sluggish.. do you happen to have a database speedup php app?

Users should be able to have a whole inventory.. Not just one item. And you should make it so that on the home page you can just put something like $rpgnav and have a table with all the required RPG links on it.

Weapons should have spells that can sometimes cast.. Like poision effects.

Random encounters... Like.. If you view a post once out of every 70 tiems you get into a random battle with a wolf or something :D Happy coding and good job.
