I am trying to find a way that i can have my site submittion sub forums with a different thread layout, so that i can have added on post parts (more than just the normal, like thread title, subject, kinda like the custom post prefixes hack, but inside the thread) how can i do this, and have it work for seperate forums which i can choose, i have a brief idea, but i'm not entirely sure

I'm not sure I understand what you are after. You may want to clarify what you are trying to do for others to assist you.

if you see in the attachment i made, what i want done is new fields added to the reply to thread page, but only on specific forums i want, i was thinking on using the code for the custom post prefixes hack to do this, but i'm not sure if it would work out, since i need some inside the actual thread as well

I see... it's possible, but will require a bit of hacking to newthread.php and newreply.php depending on what fields you want, as well as showthread.php and forumdisplay.php to display these fields. I don't have the time to get around this - maybe someone else can help.

i have a rough idea on adding something to it, but having it work for only one forum is what gets me stuck

i've got some basic code for getting this done, but how would i go about making it for one forum, and someome please help me out with this, it's almost been a month since i asked for help, and i didn't get any replies after my last post, i've looked through some other code i have, and made the post parts i need, but how can i make it so that i can select what forum it will appear on

Umm, you can do it one way, for that specific forum you can make it that it uses another template set, and you can modify that as you wish.

or you can copy the form template, and modify it, and call the template through the code in newthread.php depending on the forumid.

Using Evalcode

i've been trying to do it the first way you've said, but don't know what i would have to write for it

well i can't remember the code, but i tried adding a new template in newthread.php, for a certain forumid, but it didn't work, i'm not too sure about this, since i'm pretty new to php still

soooooooo any chance on getting help for this, i've been waiting for replies for quite a while, and the lack of help i'm getting is kinda troubling, i need this quite badly for something on my forums, so i guess i'll just have to keep bumping the thread till i get help
