I'm just curious how the hack-system works, what the installation actually does (ie: change the code, whatever...). I just want a bit of insight into this matter, just a rough overview of the logics. :bunny:
thanx in advance,
Tom

Everything that involves changing the origional vB code is classed as a hack. Whats involved though, depends on the hack your installing. Typically, templates and database changes as well as new files are required for many hacks.

so what a hack does when installed is go to line 50, in say, some properties file, and change some setting or a add a new one?

Every hack has different changes that need to be done and has a set of instructions for you to follow to install it.

*raises an eyebrow*
A bit hasty are we Xenon?
Basically hacks are littlebits of instructions. For example....
A hack tells you to look for this to look for one line of code, and replace it with another :)
