<a href="http://www.huntandlodge.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi" target="_blank">http://www.huntandlodge.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi</a>
the above is our forum we use now...
Can you give me any pro's and cons please...
Also I would like to convert with all the same members post etc of the current board...
And If I have a multi .com sight can I put this forum on a differnt .com name till I get all the bugs worked out then move it back to the org. com site? I dont want the board to be down at all if I can help it, and I am going to need a few days to figure it out..
Thanks guys/Gals

the colors are a typical who likes them will find it great, the others not ;)
i think it isn't good to have to scroll down one screen to see the forums on forumhome...
A conversion script can be downloaded in the vb-members area, it'll convert everything like members and posts..
well you can install it on a local board and find out all bugs, then upload it to your server, would be the easiest way..
Where do you find the local board to install it to?
How good is the conversion hack (% of stuff able to save etc)
Can I edit code out (like in the reply section) attached files rate this thread etc....
I did play with the admin features last night on the main site.. I liked what I saw....

Well, special features won't be converted, but the normal features will be convertet 100% as i know.
i worked on a board some time ago which has done this convertion and didn't found something lost ;)
local vb, this will help:

yes, you can remove those things out of your templates, users can't use it.
also Attachments and ratings can be disabled completly within vb-options
Thanks for the answers.... Now I have been to the test board 2-3 times and played a little.. only thing I couldnt figure out how to do was the section adding.. I couldnt even find it anywhere... Thanks for that link, that will allow me to play a little, and see if we want to change...
