Hi,
Is there (simple) personals software that integrates with vBulletin? If so, can someone post an url?
Regards,
Rik.
I am sure someone can make that for you.

The question is WHO could make that for me?
I'm surprised that it's so hard to find. Am I the first who wants personals to integrate with vbulletin??

Rik.

I'd like to know what you mean by Personals Software.

Something like this: http://www.e-classifieds.net/products/standard.html, but this is written in perl and I dont know anyone who could integrate it with vbulletin.

Ahhh... of course. :smoke:
My Co. Admin and myself will be doing somthing like that in the near future. He will be designing a rigid database structure, and I will program it into action.
We have the plans, but not the time at the moment. Which is a pitty, because i'd love to be able to share the system with others (yourself) in the form of Freeware.
It isn't really a big job for an experienced developer, and there is proberbly someone who frequents this board regular already working on such a system, but they don't want to say anything right now, for fear of sombody "rushing to beat them to it".
Keep the hope up.

I started on one just recently.
I just released it to my board to start using as I have the base done.
I plan to add more to it daily untill it is done (with in week I would guess).
But as of now it is just for vb3.

I know this is an old thread, but I came across it in a search so I hope no-one minds it being brought up again.
I use Photopost for my image gallery, and that's been great - the integration for VB2 has always been pretty good and it's better for VB3. The same people have used the model for Photopost to create Photopost Classifieds which includes templates for a Personals site. It's still quite early days but it's starting to be a very good product.

By the way, I'm only a customer and own both Photopost and Classifieds - I'm nothing to do with the development, sales or support of these products.

I considered intergrating vBulletin into the personals on my site. But I ended up not doing it.
First, if you are putting up personals to add some income to your site you aren't going to get the income if it's intergrated. Most personals scripts force the user to pay before they make contact. If they can just send a PM, you've lost that sale.
Second my members didn't want it intergrated. If they wanted to place a personal ad, they wanted that profile to be seperate and different from the one on the forums.

We just finished re-launching our site by using vB as the main engine, along with PhotoPost Pro as the photo part. It is desinged as an adult dating/photo rating site.
ALl the components are basically there that are required for a dating site with those 2 components.
You just need to make them all a bit more user friendly, and link some things back and forth.
Each site admin will have his/her own requirments for a dating site. The only thing we still need to do, is add the Search Male/Female but that isn't a problem. I don't want that there yet, because we don't have enough users to make it work properly.
Ours is an adult URL....if anyone want to know it, PM me so you can take a look.
