Download Thread Feature

Just wondering why vB.org dosen't use the Download Thread Hack (http://205.214.66.221/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40981) for these boards.

I'd presonally like to be able to not have to hop on to vB.org everytime I need to reference stuff in the threads.

Might just be me, but it's a thought.

I don't think we would install this, because this can be abused very easy.
not from most of the users, but, if there are some warez board users with a valid licence here they can download the thread/and hack and then upload it to a warez site....

It's true about the abusing of it, but how about making it so only people who have a license [and not even people that the licensed user puts on the list] can download them?

well, that would mean adding another usergroup also, for licenced users which ar the owners.....

Wouldn't be too hard to set it all up. I see the difficulty you have is figureing out which 8000(large est) out of 25000 users should have access to the feature.
