View Full Version : Moderator Deletion of post, not entire thread

On my forum I have it setup where my moderators cannot delete entire threads (had a problem with some important ones being deleted), so we disabled their thread deletion privlages. Now they move problem threads to a holding area for us to review. Well, not all threads need to be removed, just a few posts here and there. Is there a hack that can allow individual post deletions but not entire thread deletions? Any help or clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Erwin

No hack is needed. This feature is built into vB. :)

In the Admin Options, dropdown menu, go to "Split Thread". Then, choose which forum to move the posts to, then choose the posts. Click submit, and posts you want to "delete" will move to the "delete" forum. :)

That feature is only available when I log in as administrator. When I login as a test moderator, I can't split threads.

Make them supermods - they will be able to do it.
