Birthdate Problem

I'm running vBulletin v2.2.8

Hacks Installed:

1) vBHome (Lite)
2) PM Blink
3) Mini-Calendar
4) vBMicrostats

When a user edits their Birthdate (in USER CP), it is not set to what they entered, but to November 31, 2002.

I can change it in the ADMIN CP successfully.

This doesn't appear to be an issue in a non-hacked board.

None of the hacks that I've installed have done anything tot he "Birthdate" code, but I wonder if they have done something to the "pre-processor" of the form submission.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe some of the vBDevs was on your board, as we all know this is the date when vb3 will be released...

Try to revert the affected templates, does the bug exists now?

From the members.php file, these look like the templates being used:

$templatesused = 'register_birthday,modifyprofile_customtext,regist er_customfields,usercpnav,modi fyprofile';

The only template in that set I modified was "usercpnav", which I have now reverted back to original in my DEFAULT Template Set.

It still sets the date to November 31, 2002. If this is the date VB3 is to be released, that day will never come. :laugh:

Ah!

The installation of cal.php (the small calendar hack) included the "include 'global.php';" statement at the beginning. During installation, I was getting errors, until I commented this line out.

Not sure if that has anything to do with the issue I was having, but this sure does:

The code in cal.php uses the same variable names as vBulletin itself does to represent Day, Month and Year. Because of this, the variables were getting rewritten during the include of cal.php, which reset the values to November 31, 2002 (not even a real date, but oh well).

In cal.php, I changed every occurrance of $year, $month and $day to $smcalyear, $smcalmonth and $smcalday.

It now appears to work fine and the small calendar also appears fine. :banana:
