I would be very interested if I knew what it looked like ;). Please post a few screenshots, it could be the next part of vBulletinTemplates, PaFileDB is a pain to update when you have so much to add.

Just tested it on my local machine and truthfully I think I will be waiting for this to be improved.
Dont like the idea really to have to go to another admin file and login to make changes to it.
Here is the first error i got from it...

When I submit through the admin CP all seems well, however when I submit from files.php and approve i get the following
Invalid SQL: SELECT * FROM files WHERE fileid= AND open=1
mysql error: You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'AND open=1' at line 1
mysql error number: 1064
Date: Monday 04th of November 2002 11:30:06 AM
Script: http://www.limpkinw.com/forum/forum/files.php?action=viewfile&f=
Referer: http://www.limpkinw.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=839
Am I not approving the files correctly?
Also it seems as if in the file "edit" feature of admin CP that it has the submitter and the thread mixed up.
Also upon editting a file it submits a new thread instead of editing the previous, seems well not right?
Good work just giving ya feedback!

Limpkinw.Com - File Archive
Limpkinw.Com - File Archive Message !
You reach this page because of an error.
The error can be;
-> You cannot add a file to our database. You have to be active user to be able to add a file to our database. Login below, or if you are not a registered member, click Register Now to begin the registration process.
-> You try to access not-existing file/cat.
-> The category you browse into is empty.
-> You dont have access to view cat/file.
If you are logged in, you might have to first activate your account via the activation code you receive in your emailbox on signup, please activate your account first.
When trying to browse an empty catagory I get the above error and a login prompt. Perhaps a better response would be a template state the catagory is empty.
Great work I really hope this one turn out well I need it!

I still receice a login prompt when visiting files.php while logged in if I have no files in the file area yet.
And files uploaded through files.php when approved only give the following as a link
http://www.limpkinw.com/forum/files.php?action=viewfile&f=
Missing the file number at the end.

Notice how the thread has no "thread starter" and "last post by" is blank.

This version is pretty good still testing some stuff out...one suggestion, make the "link" for files clickable.
One bug...When editing files already approved the link for the thread seems to disapear.
Will give more feedback upon arrival.

your suggestion can be made via :
open files.php;
find :$fileurl=$myrow["fileurl"];
replace with :$fileurl=$myrow["fileurl"];
if($fileurl==""){$fileurl="Download URL Not Available";}else{$fileurl="<a href=\"$fileurl\">$fileurl</a>";}
i will check the bug report ..

I found adding the following to my admin/index.php was very helpful. Nothing fancy but helpful.
After
makenavoption("New Posts","../mod/moderate.php?action=posts","<br>");
makenavoption("New Attachments","../mod/moderate.php?action=attachments");
makenavselect("Moderation","<hr>");
// *************************************************
Add
//File Manager
makenavoption("Manage Custom Fields","filesadmin.php?action=cfview","<br>");
makenavoption("Add Custom Field(s)","filesadmin.php?action=addcf","<br>");
makenavoption("Manage Catagories","filesadmin.php?action=catview","<br>");
makenavoption("Add Catagorie(s)","filesadmin.php?action=addcat","<br>");
makenavoption("Manage Files","filesadmin.php?action=fileview","<br>");
makenavoption("Moderate File(s)","filesadmin.php?action=mfiles","<br>");
makenavoption("Add File(s)","filesadmin.php?action=addfile","<br>");
makenavselect("File Manager","<hr>");
//End File Manager
// *************************************************
Hope that's right :)

allright it seems the Beta 4 will be the last release before final.
i need a template fixer ..
as i have two known visual problem :
-> in admin panel ; there is an space between main cat and its first subcat ..
-> in file view ; (if the file has a thread) there is a unwanted row height at the "rate thread drop-down" row.
after fixing template issues and final test i will release final ...

Because I did not want to drop my files database (even though it is small) I tried to do a manual edit of these templates.
However, I can not find them. Are they hidden in an area other than templates?
Thanks!
erdem
11-06-2002, 05:04 AM
for fixing the rate file template :
open file_threadexist template:
find :
<form action="threadrate.php" method="get">
replace with:
<form style="PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; MARGIN: 0px; PADDING-TOP: 0px" action="threadrate.php" method="get">
the other silly spaces between cats-subcats visual problem in admin cp can not be resolved ..
atleast i couldnt find any solution ;)
anyway that isnt a bug or problem ..
i think its time to release final ...
im on last tests ..
report anything you got as a error or so ...
