Can anyone tell me how to make my board spider friendly, running W2K/IIS? :lick: I've just gotta get more members! :ermm: I've read that the htaccess hack might not work, and the other is a bit over my head, I'm afraid. I'd need more specific step by step instructions. :nervous:

Do a search for fastforward's hack in the Full Releases forum - it works.

I'm afraid that hack is a bit too complicated for me. There seemed to be alot of problems, that I don't quite understand, and no clearly written guide. :(
The last thing I want to do is mess up my forum. That one seems a bit too confusing to me. :ermm:

Erwin, I think fastforwards hack is only for Apache Based servers...got to check up on that.
Sloppy goat, try asking at vbulletin.com, most of the people here despise MS Products :p except me, but IMO you will get a better response there lol..
Good Luck

You're right, you need Apache for fastforward's hack. :) Win2K server? Mmm... ;)

I've already tried. They know nothing, or aren't willing to share. :disappointed:

If you don't have Apache, then you are limited to using internal PHP redirecting methods, which can be done, but not reliable.

Can you direct me to some info on how to do this? I've had this board up for awhile now, and the only way I'm going to get any real traffic is if it can be spidered more than 1 level. :dead: Promotion is a beoche, when you don't want to spam people. :p
